PASTEL POWER

Those who have been following my blog already know that I have a soft spot for pastel shades. I’ve featured a bedroom with accents in pale blue, pink and yellow; shown ways on how to use pastel prints at home; and recently included pastel-colored summer accessories on my wishlist. Here’s another post on pastels, just because we can’t get tired of looking at these soothing colors. By the way, two of these pictures are from Muuto, the Scandinavian firm whose office furniture designs I wrote about here.

THE BANQUETTE FAN

I am obsessed with kitchen/dining banquettes. They are pretty and cozy, and the ones under large windows serve as the perfect reading nooks. Most of all, banquettes are functional. They add extra seating area for family and guests while minimizing the clutter that comes with having too many chairs. And who can ignore how ideal they are in solving storage crunch? The use of banquettes is, in fact, a great option for maximizing space in just about any area of the house. Do you have a crush on banquettes too?
